Advancing Technologies — Expanding Research
Technology for Second Language Learning Conference October 19-21, 2023 |
Iowa State University’s Applied Linguistics Program hosts the Technology for Second Language Learning Conference (TSLL) each fall. Each year the conference organizing committee creates a conference theme that reflects emerging areas of research-practice synergies. The 2023 conference will provide a forum for researchers, teachers, and course developers to explore the contributions of research in advancing technologies for online learning in English and other languages.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Technology for Second Language Learning (TSLL) conference at Iowa State University, we focus on research investigating the potentials, uses, and implications of AI technologies for language teaching, learning, assessment, and research. The conference theme, “Advancing Technologies – Expanding Research,” signifies the multiple strands of research and practice in applied linguistics affected by current and future AI technologies.
