Bio
Shireen Baghestani (2024) is a Ph.D. alumna of the Applied Linguistics and Technology program with interests in language testing and corpus linguistics. Prior to joining Iowa State, she worked as an item writer and rater for various international English proficiency tests. Her research interests include rater bias in assessment scoring, rubric creation, and test validation.
