Sherri Larson graduated from Iowa State University in May 2015 with her B.A. in English and a Minor in American Indian Studies. She retired from Iowa State University in 2008 then decided to complete the degree she began in 1984 at a small community college in North Georgia. Sherri firmly believes Edmund Hillary’s quote, “It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves.” She is currently a first-year Masters student in Literature and hopes to eventually have a career as a part-time instructor at a university in a much warmer climate for part of the year. When not working on her education, Sherri is busy with her family, pets, and friends in Boone, Ames, and Ankeny, Iowa either hiking, fishing, golfing, or kayaking.
