Ananda Muhammad is a student in the PhD program in Applied Linguistics and Technology. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Hasanuddin University, Indonesia and an MA in TESL/Applied Linguistics from Iowa State University. Her primary areas of interests include CALL, materials design, and language assessment. She has presented at conferences such as MwALT, NCTE, ANS, and CALICO. She is originally from the wonderful tropical Indonesia, where she taught for two years after after her BA. During those two years she taught people of various ages and backgrounds in different settings: private language schools and higher education. Currently her research interests are in computer-assisted language learning and language assessment, specifically in the area of pragmatics.
