PSLLT & TSLL 2018 Call for Proposals

The 16th annual Technology for Second Language Learning (TSLL) Conference will be held jointly with the 10th annual Pronunciation in Second Language Learning and Teaching (PSLLT) Conference September 6-8, 2018 at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Dr. Ann Bradlow of Northwestern University will be the plenary speaker.

Please note that while the conferences will be held together, there are two different Calls for Papers:

For TSLL, we welcome abstract submissions for 25-minute papers (20-minute presentation + 5 minutes for questions) and poster presentations addressing any aspect of technology and oral communication. Abstracts for TSLL should be no longer than 300 words and should be submitted through The Linguist List “EasyAbs” platform.

For PSLLT, we welcome abstract submission for aspects of L2 pronunciation for all second languages and contexts, but especially on perception and pronunciation. There are three main types of presentations:

  • Oral presentations (20-minute presentation + 5 minutes for questions)
  • Poster presentation
  • Teaching tips (10-minute evidence-based pedagogical approaches to teaching perception and pronunciation)

Abstracts for PSLLT should be no longer than 300 words and should be submitted through The Linguist List “EasyAbs” platform.

The deadline for submissions to both conferences is April 16, 2018. Decisions will be announced by May 16, 2018.
